If you're on a paid Webex Meetings or Webex Events plan and live streaming is enabled, you can live stream by using any streaming service that supports Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) and Real-Time Messaging Protocol Secure (RTMPS) streams. The audio, video, and shared content are live streamed.
This feature requires Cisco Webex video platform version 2.0. To find out which version you’re using, see Find Your Cisco Webex Meetings Version Number.
You can live stream each Webex meeting or event to one live streaming service.
Your Webex administrator must enable live streaming.
Sharing a whiteboard and sharing a file using Share File, including sharing a video file, aren’t supported while live streaming.
When you stream Webex Meetings or Events content to a third-party streaming solution, Webex no longer owns or manages the security and privacy of content. Refer to the streaming service for information about security, privacy, and content retention.Make sure that you have signed in to the streaming service and become familiar with the process of live streaming well before you intend to live stream your meeting or event. |
After you've started your meeting or event, go to More options , and click Start live streaming.
For WBS40.12 and later sites, you can set the video layouts for your live stream. Click Change streaming layouts.
Select the view you want when you're not sharing content. You can choose from the following:Grid view
Active speaker and thumbnails view
Active speaker view
Thumbnails view
Active speaker view
Content-only view
Click Apply.
Then, select where to stream your meeting or event.

IBM Video Streaming—Webex Meetings WBS39.5.11 and later, Webex Events WBS40.2 and later
Facebook Live—Webex Meetings WBS39.5.11 and later, Webex Events WBS40.2 and later

Other streaming services—to use a streaming service such as YouTube using YouTube Live, Twitter using Periscope Producer, or Workplace from Facebook—Webex Meetings WBS39.5.11 and later, Webex Events WBS40.2 and later
Enter the stream link and stream key.
For other streaming services that aren’t listed, do the following:
After you've started your meeting or event, go to More options , and click Start live streaming.
Select Other streaming services.
Enter the stream link and stream key.
To generate the stream link and stream key, refer to the instructions from the streaming service.
Click Start streaming to start streaming from Webex Meetings or Events.
To confirm that you're streaming from Webex Meetings or Events, check for the Live indicator in the upper-right corner of your meeting or event.
Go back to the streaming service and wait until you see a preview of a live stream of your meeting or event. When you see the preview, make the stream live.
If you want to change the video layout during your live stream, from the Webex Meetings app, click , click Change streaming layout and select the layout you want to use.

When you want to end the live stream, go back to your meeting or event, select More Options , and then select Stop streaming.

Start working together
When you start a conversation with someone, it creates a space between you and the people you invite to the conversation. You can invite anyone (including people outside your organization) to join in on a conversation. All you need is their email address.
All your work takes place within spaces and teams. Spaces give you a place to collaborate on a specific topic or project. In a space, you can send messages, schedule meetings, and call other people.
If your original intention changes and your project outgrows its original purpose, you can create a team and then move a space into a team. Teams help you keep everything organized by putting multiple spaces under a common theme. Teams are great for a consistent group of people who are going to be working on something for a long time. That something can involve many activities or can be subprojects happening at the same time.
And you find that you're in too many spaces and some of them don't require your input or you don't need to keep up with that particular conversation, you can leave any space at any time.
Elevate important information
Right away, you're notified about all messages coming your way. Work smarter by keeping track of what's important to you. You can play around with your notifications until you figure out what works best for you. For example, you can set it up so that you're only notified when you're @mentioned in any space or when any message gets posted in your most important spaces. And if you're not interested in a particular space, you can leave it or hide it so that you're no longer notified about messages posted to that space and it doesn't show up in your Spaces list.
You can also see other people's availability so that you can find the right time to connect with them. For example, if you see a green circle around someone's profile picture, it means they've been using the app within the last 10 minutes so chances are, you'll get a response if you reach out.
On the other hand, if you see someone doesn't want to be disturbed, you might want to wait before reaching out.
Personalize Webex
Make Webex feel more like your own by personalizing it a bit. Start by adding your own photo as your profile picture so that other people can recognize you.
You can change your display name to a nickname.
Add more color to your view by choosing your preferred color theme.
You can change your status to be something more descriptive. If you have to step out for a bit or you're busy, you can let people know just by changing your status in the app. For example, you can set it to Be right back or let people know you don't want to be disturbed. You can also make up a custom status so people know what you're up to.
