The Dutch resistance to the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands during World War II can be mainly characterized as non-violent. The primary organizers were the Communist Party, churches, and independent groups. Over 300,000 people were hidden from German authorities in the autumn of 1944 by 60,000 to 200,000 illegal landlords and caretakers.

The first example is a quick edit of a hockey player, where the clone tool was needed to fix a small correction of a healing brush use. Then, Paul reviews how to adjust a luma range on a mask. The result? To give softer, feathered, more subtle edges.
Next, go more in depth into how to use a linear response curve as a baseline to bring shadows up naturally next—while shifting highlights using levels—rather than creating a cartooned effect with too much HDR.
Then, use the color balance tools to split-tone and adjust shadows, midtones and highlights independently. Plus, learn about their relationship to the Capture One Styles that are sold as presets.
The final example? A more abstract foliage shot. Three small adjustments to three masked areas transform a wider shot into a tighter, more focused, piece of wall art.
